Stochastic Analysis of Well-Head Protection and Risk Assessment

W-SAHaRA is an EU Consortium aiming to develop guidelines for predicting the extent of drinking wells protection region in natural heterogeneous formations and assessing the associated prediction errors in a probabilistic framewrok.

The project is funded by the Eropean Commission within the Fifth Framework Programme.

The 9 teams in the Consortium are from 6 different European countries and include a mixture of Academia, Industry and Public Administration. They include innovate researchers of the highest calibre who conducted most of the outstanding research in the field.

W-SAHaRA is currently in its third and final year of activity.
